Software Engineer (backend focused)

Hybrid in Staffordshire

Salary: £50,000-£55,000

We’re looking for a talented Software Engineer to become part of a cross-functional team working on a brand-new, cloud-native application. If you thrive in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments and are passionate about clean, maintainable code, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and developing new features in a cloud-hosted, high-traffic system.
• Writing high-quality, efficient, and scalable code.
• Championing best coding practices and continuous technical improvement.
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders including product managers, testers, and other developers.
• Contributing to technical designs and estimating development effort for new functionality.

We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have:

• Solid commercial experience building server-side applications.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go/Golang, or C#.
• Experience working in Linux-based environments.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure.
• A background in high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes such as Scrum.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
