Your Personal Sphere Of Play

Your future position is in the Security & Privacy research group at the Faculty of Computer Science. Research assistants appreciate the internationality, the outstanding research projects, the interdisciplinary cooperation and the collegial exchange in our faculty.

Our research interests are currently Industrial Plant Security, Digital Twins, Synthetic Data for Machine Learning in Privacy Research, Formalization of Security Risk Management, and Security and Privacy of Blockchain Technologies. In the long term, we are concerned with understanding complex systems to identify fundamental security and privacy problems and researching and developing solutions that go beyond just short-term problem solving.

Our team currently consists of 23 scientific and 2 administrative colleagues. We attach particular importance to a relaxed and appreciative and appreciative cooperation, a collegial atmosphere and a self-reliant way of working.

Your Future Tasks

Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:

• You build an independent research profile in the areas of cryptocurrencies, distributed systems and game theory.
• You contribute to research projects and scientific studies in the emerging areas of Centrally Banked Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and digital identity.
• You publish internationally and give lectures.
• You apply for projects and raise third-party funds.
• You prepare and complete a publication-ready habilitation.
• You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
• You supervise your students in courses on technical and organizational security aspects..
• You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
• You are involved in the organization of meetings, conferences and symposia.
• You will be involved in evaluation measures and quality assurance.
  
  

Must-haves

This is part of your personality:

• Completed doctoral/PhD studies in Computer Science
• Outstanding dissertation
• Research competence and initiative proven through international publications in peer-relevant media
• Experience in research management and in leading project staff
• Didactic skills / experience in e-learning
• Excellent knowledge of German and English
