Job Title: Project Manager – Insurance Sector
Location: Dublin, Cherrywood
Department: Project Management Office (PMO) / Operations / IT
Reports To: Head of Financial Reporting controls
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional projects within our insurance organization. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in the financial services or insurance industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, and customer-centric delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for strategic initiatives across underwriting, claims, policy administration, and digital transformation.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans and manage execution to ensure timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal governance standards.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications.
- Support change management and training efforts related to project rollouts.
- Continuously evaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned for future improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
- 3–7 years of project management experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, products, and regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Trello).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with digital transformation or system implementation projects (e.g., policy admin systems, CRM, claims automation).
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work environment
- Occasional travel may be required for stakeholder meetings or vendor coordination.
