Summary - Basic Function Of The Role

This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional with a diverse range of interests to be exposed to the full scope of HR functions (e.g. Employee & Labor Relations, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Analytics, and Talent Management) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. It’s an ideal role for somebody who wants to roll up their sleeves & help make a big impact while continuing to elevate their valuable HR experience. The HR Manager is responsible for oversight and implementation of human resource functions for all employee groups located in our three locations in Spain - Madrid (Alcobendas and Torrejon de Ardoz) and Mallabia. Based in our Madrid office, the HR Manager will serve as a consultant to management on all employee relations issues and will act as an employee champion and change agent.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design and implement people solutions to address enterprise and functional strategies
  • Act as a change agent to further enhance organizational growth and development
  • Identify opportunities to modernize current HR processes within the facility and drive strategic priorities
  • Manage specific priorities or projects as determined in the annual HR plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives. Participate in corporate HR project teams and programs
  • Partner with supervisors and managers regarding employee/labor relations issues
  • Generate ideas for and champion employee & labor relations activities to foster positive employee morale and interaction
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all client groups and HR visibility to hourly teams
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to employees, supervisors, and managers
  • Partner with the recruitment team to facilitate/coordinate interviews, conduct on-boarding, and new hire orientation.
  • Drive high participation in employee engagement surveys and annual enrollment sessions. Facilitate focus groups along with the management team
  • Conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions and/or employee terminations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills And Competencies

  • Fluent in English is a must have (written and spoken)
  • Familiar with standard HR concepts, practices, and procedure
  • Knowledge of employment laws and applications of legislation and process
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and internal customers.
  • Must have a strong customer-service orientation, be organized, flexible, detail oriented, proactive and maintain a high level of personal credibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Regular travel will be required

Education And Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration along with 5+ years of demonstrated HR/employee relations experience
  • Prior experience working within publicly listed companies and in an international, multicultural environment is essential.
  • 2+ years of labor relations experience (grievance coordination & participation, contract administration and interpretation, etc)
  • Experience managing conflict, project management & completion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience supporting global, highly matrixed organizations, preferably in Manufacturing or Engineering settings
  • Proven experience in working with remote Shared Service Center
  • Possess demonstrated problem-solving abilities along with strong time management & prioritization skills
  • Possess advanced communication skills that can be utilized in day-to-day interactions with all levels of the workforce
  • Successfully led change initiatives and worked closely with customers
