Are you passionate about data analysis and creating an impact with tangible business improvements? Then join our SWISS Operations Performance Management & Development team and apply your data skills to actual business challenges shaping SWISS’ journey towards a truly data-driven company!

As a Data Analyst Intern you take a front-seat role in advising SWISS’ operations management. You will support running data projects, ad-hoc analysis, and have the chance to get a glimpse of how we use and enhance the operational data landscape of a global airline.

Provide valuable data-driven insights supporting decision-making within SWISS’ Operations & Steering team
Create data visualizations, reporting, and interactive dashboards
Create insightful analysis to help quantifying key drivers to optimize SWISS’ operational performance
Contribute to our operational data landscape & support automation
Foster data democratization and self-service capabilities across the company
Collaborate and effectively communicate data insights across various stakeholders from SWISS Operations departments

Requirements

Workload Specification: For this position, a 100% workload is preferred
Data science and/or data engineering background is an advantage
HF diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s students or graduates (HF diploma & Bachelor’s students must have completed at least three semesters) in an analytical subject, e.g., data science, engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics or related fields
Knowledge in SQL coding, good command of at least one programming language (R or Python preferred)
Ability to work independently, yet a team-player with strong communication, and social skills
Excellent oral and written presentation skills; competences in analysis and management presentations
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, and Excel
Fluent knowledge of English is required; knowledge of German will be an additional asset
