Staff ML Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY Join as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to build groundbreaking foundation models that process gigapixel medical images. You'll architect systems handling TB-scale datasets while working alongside engineers from top AI labs. Reporting directly to the Head of ML Engineering, you'll shape the technical direction of models achieving state-of-the-art results across multiple benchmarks.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE SPECIAL

• Work with ultra-high resolution images (100,000 x 100,000 pixels) requiring custom architectures beyond standard approaches
• Build self-supervised learning systems on millions of medical images across diverse modalities
• Create models that generalize across different imaging equipment without fine-tuning
• Develop anomaly detection systems with minimal training examples
• Publish research at top ML conferences with strong academic collaborations

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years building large-scale ML systems serving millions/billions of users at leading tech companies
• Hands-on experience with foundation models (LLMs, vision models) at scale
• Expertise in distributed training across thousands of GPUs with optimization for efficiency
• Track record designing ML infrastructure for petabyte-scale data and high-throughput inference
• Proven technical leadership with ability to mentor engineers and set technical direction
• Expert Python and deep learning frameworks with production ML deployment experience
