About The Role

BSI is seeking a highly experienced, commercially astute Managing Director for our Regulatory Services division responsible for AI & Digital Solutions. This is a senior leadership role where you will take full ownership of a P&L, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and profitability within our AI business unit. We are looking for someone with proven experience running substantial P&Ls, shaping and executing commercial strategies that deliver measurable results on a global scale. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of regulatory innovation and drive digital transformation in industries like AI, Medical Devices, Product Certification, and beyond.

You will collaborate with senior leadership and talented global teams to develop strategies that influence regulatory approaches worldwide and contribute to shaping industry standards for the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the AI Business Unit with full P&L responsibility, ensuring financial growth, market leadership, and operational excellence.
• Digital Solutions Innovation: Design and implement client-focused digital services across the Regulatory Services division’s vertical business units—AI, Medical Devices, and Product Certification—to drive business growth and regulatory compliance.
• AI Business Expansion: Achieve Notified Body status under the EU AI Act and build a world-class AI business that leads in the global regulatory market.
• Team Leadership: Inspire and develop a high-performing, global team of AI and digital experts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Global Market Positioning: Strengthen BSI’s position as a thought leader in AI and digital services through key partnerships, industry engagement, and global awareness initiatives.
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader with a proven track record in AI and digital solutions. You should have:

• Proven P&L Expertise: Extensive experience running large P&Ls, with a demonstrated ability to drive substantial revenue growth, manage costs, and optimize profitability.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong business sense and a track record of developing and executing commercially successful strategies within AI or digital services. Strong understanding of regulatory landscapes in sectors such as healthcare, transport, defence, finance, or manufacturing.
• Expertise in AI, with a history of building and scaling digital solutions that drive business growth and compliance.
• A track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering innovative services that meet client needs.
• A strategic, business-driven mindset, with the ability to influence stakeholders and shape long-term goals.
