Lindt & Sprüngli has had a longstanding commitment to zero health and safety accidents, and to ensure every employee goes home safe, every day. In the past year, we evaluated our global approach to health and safety management and concluded we want to make a step-change in our approach. To support our Group Health and Safety Manager with project management of our Safety Transformation and Asset Risk (STAR) Programme, we are looking for a structured and experienced Project Manager, on a temporary basis.


This role reports to the Health and Safety Manager in the Operations department. Its purpose is to effectively manage a global project which is aims to transform our global approach to Health and Safety (H&S) Management. It will require strong collaboration and engagement skills, as well as the capability to plan and track numerous simultaneously-running and sometimes dependent workstreams within the programme.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Support the set-up of an effective programme management team; drive timelines and dependencies of workstreams within the project.
  • Set-up the project management structure, and train key individuals, in a way that it can be maintained after the design of the programme.
  • Establish and maintain tracking of the global health and safety management roadmap.
  • Support in delivery of communications materials about the progress of the project.
  • Build a network outside of the programme management team to account for interactions or dependencies with other Lindt projects.
  • Identify and set-up a globally accessible document management system for the storage and maintenance of key technical documents.
  • Set-up and maintain clear oversight of the budget.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE 2, IPMA)
  • Min. 8 years of working experience in managing complex, multi-dimensional and global projects, with global stakeholder engagement ideally in operational excellence, health and safety or transformational change within FMCG.
  • Demonstrated success in projects involving significant organizational change, cultural transformation, and behaviour-based programmes across multiple international sites.
  • Structured and organised, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills and emotional intelligence; able to build rapport quickly and foster collaborative relationships with diverse global teams.
  • Awareness of language and culture differences with demonstrated ability to adapt messages to front-line up to C-Suite stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is a must, any additional language (particularly German, French, Italian) is a plus.
  • Experience with document management systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and/or compliance projects is a strong plus, especially those involving behavioural safety, regulatory harmonization, or ISO certifications (e.g. ISO 45001).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with both front-line staff and senior stakeholders and leaders, build rapport across functional boundaries as well as people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in working in a diverse, global, matrixed and/or strongly decentralised organisation.


This is a temporary position, anticipated to last until end of 2027.
