🎮 Game Designer – Full Time (Hybrid)

At Papumba, we’re building playful digital worlds that empower kids to explore, imagine, and learn. We’re looking for a Game Designer who deeply understands how to design for early childhood — not around scores or levels, but around creativity, freedom, and meaningful play.

This role is about crafting interactive experiences where young kids can tell their own stories, follow their curiosity, and engage with intuitive, open-ended mechanics that feel natural and fun.

🔧 What you’ll do

• Design original game experiences for kids aged 3–7 that spark imagination and invite exploration
• Define and document mechanics, interactions, behaviors, and progression systems that support open play
• Collaborate closely with illustrators, animators, developers, and producers throughout concepting, prototyping, and production
• Ensure that all game elements — from characters to environments — align with the emotional and cognitive needs of young children
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in kids’ gaming, play patterns, and UX for early learners

🎯 What we’re looking for

• Strong background in game design, especially for sandbox-style or open-ended experiences
• Deep understanding of childhood development, play behavior, and digital storytelling
• Clear communicator with excellent documentation and collaboration skills
• Creative thinker who can turn simple ideas into emotionally rich gameplay
• Fluent in English; available to work across time zones (core hours overlap with GMT-3 preferred)
