Senior Java Software Engineer

My client a rapidly growing SaaS company based in Stockholm, specialising in innovative software solutions for the energy sector. Their mission is to drive the global transition to renewable energy by empowering companies to optimise energy usage, reduce carbon footprints, and achieve their sustainability goals.

Their flagship platform helps energy providers and large-scale enterprises gain deeper insights into their energy data, resulting in cost-effective and environmentally friendly decisions.

Role Overview:

As a Java Developer, you’ll play a critical role in enhancing and maintaining the core platform. You'll work closely with a team of software engineers, data scientists, and UX/UI designers to deliver scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients in the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable Java applications within our SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new features that enhance data analysis and visualisation tools.
• Optimise system performance and resolve technical issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, best practices, and code reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs as needed for improved functionality and interoperability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience in Java development (Spring Boot knowledge preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Fluent in English; Swedish proficiency is a plus but not required
