The Role

Are you a student eager to dive into the world of shipbuilding and maritime engineering? We are looking for enthusiastic students to join us in developing innovative solutions. As a Trainee in the field of Cybersecurity, you will embark on a 2-month journey with Damen, supported by a dedicated supervisor. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the shipbuilding world, taking on exciting topics.

Who We Are Looking For

• Education: Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (minimum Bachelor's degree) in Engineering from a Technical University, preferably in IT, Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation, or similar fields.
• Cybersecurity domain: Extensive knowledge of OT and IT cybersecurity, with a focus on IEC 62443 Industrial Cybersecurity Standards. Practical experience in implementing cybersecurity solutions in industrial networks (OT) connected with IT networks and maintaining OT/IT networks.
• Availability: 2 months (August – September).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS 365 package.
• Language Skills: Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and draw insightful conclusions.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, creativity, and openness to work in multifunctional and multicultural teams.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage your own work effectively.
• Interest: A keen interest in the shipbuilding and maritime industry is what we are looking for!
