Principal Technical Design Lead, Intune

Are you a senior-level Intune expert with a passion for scalable, secure, and modern endpoint management? We’re looking for a Principal Technical Design Lead to join our Digital Workplace Platforms team and help shape the future of our global Microsoft Intune environment.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the technical design, configuration standards, and advanced troubleshooting of Intune and related endpoint management technologies. You will act as a hands-on subject matter expert, collaborating with global teams and partners to ensure the best possible Intune experience and strategy for KONE.

This position is based in Espoo, Finland.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the technical design, configuration guidelines, and security architecture of KONE’s global Microsoft Intune environment.
  • Develop and maintain best practices, deployment methodologies, reusable templates, and documentation for all supported endpoint types.
  • Drive technical implementation and deployment of Intune services; serve as the go-to expert for Intune-related projects.
  • Work closely with Workstation, MDM, VDI, Security, and Network teams to align configurations and ensure compatibility across platforms.
  • Provide expert-level (L4) support and resolve complex endpoint management issues.
  • Guide external vendors and implementation partners in Intune-related projects and integrations.
  • Monitor developments in the Intune ecosystem, evaluate new features, and propose adoption plans where applicable.
  • Strengthen endpoint security through Intune, in partnership with cybersecurity teams.
  • Support the development and execution of the Intune service roadmap and lifecycle plans.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API for reporting, administration, and task automation.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7–10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in endpoint management and 3–5 years of hands-on Intune expertise in large global environments.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Intune architecture, deployment, and management.
  • Experience managing various endpoint types: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and virtual environments (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate across global IT teams and third-party vendors.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security principles and how to enforce them via Intune and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Intune automation. Experience with Microsoft Graph API is highly desirable.
