Systems Integration & Testing Engineer – Smart Energy Storage Systems

Join our client's fast-growing energy technology company in Riga as a Systems Integration & Testing Engineer. You will play a key role in integrating and validating embedded platforms within modular battery energy storage systems. This position is ideal for engineers with a strong systems mindset, hands-on debugging skills, and an interest in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Must-have skills:

• Proven experience in test specification and execution for complex embedded systems

• Knowledge of battery systems and BMS (Battery Management Systems) integration with power inverters

• Familiarity with compliance standards such as IEC 62619 or similar

• Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux (including Yocto build environments)

• Strong debugging skills for power electronics and hardware-software interfaces

• Experience working with industrial communication protocols: CAN, Modbus RTU, and MQTT

Additional skills:

• Experience with scripting automated test procedures (Python, Bash)

• Understanding of safety-critical systems in the energy domain

• Ability to interpret schematics and collaborate with hardware design teams

• Familiarity with energy storage control strategies and inverter firmware

• Strong documentation and traceability practices for certification processes
