Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Services & Automation Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for the performance and reliability of network connectivity and data center services for a large-scale, multi-tenant technology environment.

Your main focus will be the management and maintenance of (W)LAN infrastructure. You will also support the execution of IT infrastructure projects, automation initiatives, and continuous service improvements.

This is a hands-on, operations-focused role with long-term involvement in keeping systems running smoothly, implementing change, and improving processes through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and improve network and data center environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents proactively and reactively
• Design and implement changes using automation tools and scripting
• Collaborate with architects to define technical priorities
• Coach and support team members on network and automation topics
• Execute scheduled maintenance and participate in project rollouts
• Integrate and automate various internal systems and network processes
• Visualize and report on network-related data for operational insights
• Ensure documentation and process improvement across operations

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of experience
• CCNP Enterprise and/or DevNet Associate certified
• 10+ years of relevant experience in network engineering
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless, firewalling, and network security
• Linux experience (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky), minimum LPIC-2 level
• Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
• Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Ansible, NetConf, YANG, JSON, APIs)
• Dutch - must be professional level or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience troubleshooting services such as DHCP, DNS, and RADIUS
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms
• ITIL-based working experience
• Background in service provider and/or enterprise environments
• Familiarity with Zabbix or similar monitoring tools
