AI/ML Engineer – Remote First (Contract)

Location: Ireland (Remote First - 1 day a week based in Athlone)

Contract Type: Day Rate – €550 per day

Your Role: Bringing Intelligence to Industry

• Design Intelligent Models: Develop sophisticated time-series forecasting and anomaly detection models. Contribute to high-impact solutions that solve complex problems for industry leaders in telecoms and finance.
• Solve Meaningful Use Cases: Apply your expertise to projects such as RAN anomaly detection, financial signal analysis, and network performance optimisation. See your models deployed in production, where they make real-time decisions that matter.
• Engineer Scalable Data Solutions: Build reliable data pipelines using GCP tools like BigQuery and Cloud Functions. Ensure your models are supported by high-quality, scalable data infrastructure.
• Deploy and Integrate AI at Scale: Take models from prototype to production using Vertex AI and Cloud Run. Serve models via RESTful APIs for seamless integration into enterprise systems.
• Collaborate in a High-Performance Environment: Work closely with solution architects, domain experts, and cloud engineers in agile delivery teams. Share knowledge, learn from others, and thrive in a collaborative setting.
• Maintain and Optimise Performance: Define clear metrics, build monitoring tools, and implement retraining pipelines to ensure long-term model reliability and value.

Your Skills: What You Bring

• Strong Python & ML Expertise: Proven experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch for building and deploying ML models.
• Time-Series & Anomaly Detection: Skilled in analysing multivariate data and detecting subtle signals.
• GCP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and related cloud-native tools.
• Production-Focused Development: Comfortable with APIs, scalability, and building production-ready AI systems.

Desirable Extras (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with Graph Neural Networks or Transformer architectures
• Knowledge of OSS/BSS systems, RAN data, or financial trade surveillance
• DevOps skills including Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
