Position Overview

The position requires delivery of program of projects by managing a team of transition managers and/or should be responsible for execution of large project, defining and developing Project Management methodologies by working closely with the PMO- Head.

Should be able to define processes, create WoW for projects or large operations in the IT Infrastructure space looks into overall project delivery, and develop relationship with external and internal stakeholders including C-level executives. Responsible for engaging in early phase of projects and work closely with the internal as well as external customer teams on Program delivery.

The preferred candidate will have an extensive background in managing large-scale Infrastructure operations, transitions and transformation projects in an outsourced environment. Candidate from an outsourcing organization/background would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Sets the direction for the entire Projects team, builds and leads a vibrant team
• Creates and manages a strong team of Project Managers or operational governance with clients Creates, Contributes and Implements the best practices
• Develops and lays down processes and procedure for streamlining execution of large operational engagements or projects as per organization’s defined methodologies.
• Must have extensive experience in project/program management of Infrastructure projects
• Manage PnL for entire project portfolio and should be able to deliver projects within cost, schedule and quality.
• Must possess strong negotiation skills
• Contributes to business growth by expanding and enhancing current service offerings
• Awareness of and understands various Project Revenue Models
• Monitors the progress of all projects and deliverables
• Owns and is accountable for scope, effort, budget and delivery
• Drives continuous improvement in project deliveries and individual / team performance. Towards this, measures and analyzes deliveries and performance across projects and timeline.
• Contributes to annual planning of PMO and then executes it meticulously
• Is proactive and the ultimate escalation point on all matters related to all programs or engagements assigned in the region.
• Will look at Process efficiency and innovate methodology with a view to maximize value provided to the business units
• Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with customer / Business Units and can effectively manage all the stakeholders on either side. Experience

• Total 15+ years of experience, out of which at least 10+ years at a senior management level. Exceptional Infrastructure technical background primarily on Compute, Networks and Storage with core background in managing transformation Projects / Programs on Oracle DB platforms. Experience in managing diverse and multiple teams and complete ownership and responsibility of the team

• Resource planning and balanced resource utilization across different Projects Mandatory Skills
• To lead complex transition and transformation (T&T) engagements with our global clients independently.
• Strong Experience in managing medium and complex size infrastructure transformation program Understanding of contracts and bid management through to development of SOW’s highly desirable.
• Manages conflict constructively, can identify areas of improvement in team thinking.
• Should have been managing a team of project Managers/operations managers/leads
• Should have good analytical skills and eyes of detail, assess risk thoroughly and understands cause & effect systems.
• Knowledge and experience of working on diverse business models and team models with their pros and cons
• Exceptional Hands on with MS project, MS Excel and familiarity
