Senior Network Engineer

The Insight Global team is hiring for a full-time Senior Firewall Engineer for one of our clients in the Dublin, Ireland area. This client is supporting a large, global pharmaceutical customer and that customer is conducting a global SD-WAN micro segmentation upgrade. This project is already fully inflight with 7 team members leading the charge, but they need additional headcount for this large scale upgrade as it will take several years to complete.

Logistical/compensations information and required skills overview below:

Location: Cherrywood Science and Technology Park, Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin

Onsite schedule: 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)

Type: Full-time

Compensation: 70,000-95,000 gross Euros annually

Skills & Requirements:

• Extensive experience with SDWAN technologies and solutions.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls.
• Strong understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles and practices.
• Proven experience in WAN management and optimization.
• Expertise in micro segmentation techniques and implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer, Check Point Certified Security Expert) are highly desirable.
