What will your role be at SMART?

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions within a collaborative, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complete machine learning and AI solutions: collect and label data, build and train models, test and evaluate results.
• Design and implement optimal approaches to address business challenges using the company’s data framework.
• Develop, enhance, and support in-house applications in collaboration with data scientists and developers.
• Work closely with clients throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Ensure developed solutions are scalable and production-ready, following industry best practices.
• Assist in deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of models and applications.
• Promote a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Stay up to date with trends and advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling (e.g., Bayesian statistics, time series analysis).
• Experience with ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or Go.
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (preferably Jenkins, Git).
• Ability to interpret and explain model outputs and the impact of key features.

Language Skills

• Fluent in English (mandatory).
• French and Portuguese are considered a plus.
