Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a Network Engineer with 2+ years of experience in enterprise network design, implementation, and security, with expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco SD-WAN and networking, Aruba wireless, and F5 load balancing solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.

As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in network troubleshooting, security enhancements, and performance tuning, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and IT modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Infrastructure Deployment & Management
  • Configure and administer Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring security policy enforcement, threat prevention, and VPN configurations.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco networking solutions, including Catalyst switching and Cisco SD-WAN for optimized WAN performance and redundancy.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Aruba wireless solutions, including controllers and APs.
  • Manage and optimize F5 BIG-IP load balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM) for application traffic distribution and availability.
  • Security & Firewall Administration
  • Implement firewall policies, NAT, VPN tunnels, and zero-trust security principles using Palo Alto.
  • Monitor and analyze firewall logs, intrusion prevention alerts, and security events.
  • Collaborate with security teams to integrate firewall policies with SIEM tools and incident response frameworks.
  • SD-WAN & WAN Optimization
  • Support Cisco SD-WAN deployments, ensuring secure, optimized connectivity between data centers and branch offices.
  • Configure BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and QoS to optimize WAN traffic performance.
  • Troubleshoot SD-WAN overlays, tunnels, and connectivity issues.
  • Load Balancing & Network Optimization
  • Administer and maintain F5 BIG-IP load balancers, optimizing SSL offloading, application acceleration, and redundancy.
  • Ensure high availability of applications through intelligent traffic distribution and failover mechanisms.
  • Tune network performance by analyzing logs, monitoring SNMP traffic, and adjusting configurations as needed.
  • Wireless & LAN Infrastructure
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Aruba wireless controllers, ClearPass (NAC), and access points.
  • Implement 802.1X authentication, VLAN segmentation, and wireless security policies.
  • Optimize RF planning and network performance for enterprise wireless environments.
  • Network Troubleshooting & Incident Response
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex network issues and performance degradations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring network incidents.
  • Respond to network outages and security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Maintain network diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Document troubleshooting steps, best practices, and recommendations for internal use.
  • Contribute to automation projects using Python, Ansible, or Terraform to streamline network operations.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 2+ years of experience in enterprise networking, with hands-on expertise in:
  • Palo Alto Firewalls (PAN-OS, GlobalProtect VPN, Threat Prevention)
  • Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela/IOS XE) / Catalyst / ACI
  • Aruba wireless networking, ClearPass NAC
  • F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, ASM) for load balancing
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies.
  • Experience with firewall rule configurations, VPN setups, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Familiarity with network automation (Python, Ansible) and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze packet captures and performance logs.

Good-to-Have

  • Certifications: CCNP, PCNSE (Palo Alto), F5-CA or F5-CTS, Aruba Certified Professional (ACP).
  • Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Security Models and SIEM integration.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
