Co-founder & Senior Developer at a Mental Health Startup

We are a startup in the mental health space with over 15,000 users per month, seeking a senior developer to join us as cofounder.

We recently also add this option: work as freelancers, which means you only get a small percent of the company but get cash. But for this option we only pay on a project basis, or milestone basis, meaning the payment is made once the project is done.

🌐 ABOUT US

We started our journey 10 years ago with a social app that paired individuals based on IQ and personality tests. This company we sold 8 years ago but recently reacquired it. We are relaunching it with a renewed focus on promoting mental wellbeing through self-help groups. We have a robust team of psychologists, engineers, designers, project managers, and marketers.

🛠 TECH STACK

Our tech stack comprises AWS servers, Docker, Github, Next.JS, Typescript, React, and Dart, Flutter.

While you do not have to be an expert in our whole tech stack when you start, you should have an ambition to become one so that you can effectively manage the team adn do some coding yourself.

✅ WHAT WE EXPECT

We're looking for someone with:

• Exceptional intellectual ability
• A solid business acumen
• Knowledge in some of our techstack, especially Typescript, NextJS and ReactJS
• A self-starting, proactive nature

⏳ TIME COMMITMENT & COMPENSATION

In case you want to be a freelancer you should have at least 30 hours available.

In case you want to be a cofounder you could start with as little as 15 hours per week. Why only 15? As you receive only a small part of your compensation in cash, you should have time to work on other projects that pay more cash.

If you are a cofounde, your compensation will also include equity, under terms comparable to all other co-founders. You can choose to receive your compensation as cash or equity, with the cash component currently limited to only around 20% for every cofounder.
