Position:

This dual role combines the strategic focus of an HR Business Partner (HRBP) with the operational depth of an HR Generalist. As part of an established structure, you’ll collaborate closely with an experienced colleague, sharing responsibilities and providing mutual support to drive both strategic and operational HR initiatives. This unique setup fosters collaboration, consistency, and continuity across all aspects of HR.

You’ll serve as a trusted HR advisor to business leaders, aligning HR strategies with organizational goals, while also managing critical HR operations, including compliance, payroll, and employee relations. This role is perfect for a versatile HR professional eager to contribute at both the strategic and hands-on levels.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, talent management, and performance improvement.
  • Partner with managers during recruitment processes, from strategy to selection, ensuring the hiring of top talent.
  • Manage HR operations, including payroll coordination, compliance, onboarding, and records management.
  • Share responsibilities and deputize with the team member to ensure smooth HR operations.
  • Support managers with performance reviews, training programs, and succession planning.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts to promote a positive work environment.
  • Conduct investigations and provide guidance on performance and conduct issues.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with the training team to design and deliver impactful development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and provide HR reports with key insights to leadership.
  • Support organizational development through strategic HR initiatives and process improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Swiss HR certifications (e.g., HR-Fachfrau/HR-Fachmann with eidg. Fachausweis) or equivalent international certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience and payroll experience. HRBP, Abacus payroll and time management is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Swiss employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills.
  • Analytical, communicative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational tasks.
  • Cultural Awareness: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Experience working in an international environment or abroad is highly valued.
  • Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken); German, Swiss German are a plus.
  • Attributes: Adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
