THE ROLE
The person is responsible for ensuring stability, availability and reliability of Fujifilm’s platforms, products and client solutions through full-stack development and creation of automated test programs, scripts/code & frameworks using cutting edge technologies.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Provide software engineering service expertise to projects, Change Request & incidents, providing advice and associated risk implications to the project manager and or other stakeholders.
- Define, program and maintain appropriate full-stack development, test automation and non-functional testing (NFT) programs and frameworks where suitable on projects, change requests and production support requests.
Skills and Personality Traits:
Technical Skills:
- Programming Languages: Python, Java, C#, JavaScript for writing test scripts.
- Automation Tools: Experience with tools like GitHub Copilot, Robot Framework, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit for automating test cases.
- API Testing: Knowledge of tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Rest for testing APIs.
- CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, DevOps, GitLab CI.
- Version Control Systems: Git for managing code repositories.
- Database Knowledge: Understanding of SQL and database tools to validate data integrity.
- Performance Testing: JMeter for performance and load testing.
- Scripting Skills: Ability to write shell scripts or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Debugging Skills: Debugging capabilities to identify and resolve issues in test scripts or environments.
Soft Skills:
- Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, deployment, product managers, implementation and other teams.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting test cases and reporting defects.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for identifying anomalies and ensuring thorough testing.
- Reporting and analysis skills: Ability to collect, analyse, and present data to support informed decision-making.
Domain Knowledge:
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Understanding of SDLC phases and the role of testing within the lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance (QA) Best Practices: Knowledge of QA methodologies, strategies, and standards.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile workflows, Scrum, Kanban, as well as tools like Jira.
- Test Management: Experience with test management tools like TestRay (formerly synaseRT).
Additional Skills:
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud environments like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud for testing applications in the cloud.
- Containerization and Virtualization: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for managing test environments.
- Security Testing: Basic understanding of security testing tools like OWASP ZAP.
- Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in Testing: Exposure to AI-driven testing tools or frameworks for advanced test automation.
- Mobile Testing: BrowserStack, Appium.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in IT or related discipline is desirable.
- Australian Citizenship mandatory as additional AGSVA security clearances will be required.
