They’re looking for an Embedded Systems Verification Engineer to join their on-site team and lead the validation of embedded platforms used in intelligent metering, grid automation, and energy monitoring.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and execute test plans for embedded firmware validation and functional performance

• Conduct communication stack testing for protocols like Modbus, CAN, Zigbee, and MQTT

• Build and maintain fault injection and simulation environments (QEMU, Unicorn Engine)

• Validate embedded memory models and tune performance across energy-critical operations

• Run security validation tests for firmware and communication layers

• Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure, efficient systems

Your Background:

• 5+ years in embedded systems testing, ideally in energy, IoT, or infrastructure domains

• Experience with protocol-level testing and embedded communication stacks

• Proficiency in system simulation, fault injection, and emulation tools

• Familiarity with secure boot processes and hardware abstraction layers (HALs)

• Solid understanding of low-level firmware debugging and validation best practices

Bonus Points:

• Exposure to smart grid architectures and decentralized control systems

• Experience with automated test frameworks or CI pipelines for embedded targets

• Understanding of firmware-level cryptographic implementation and validation

• Norwegian language skills or prior experience working in Scandinavian tech environments
