Cyber Security Business Analyst

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Security Consultant to join our Security & Privacy team. This role focuses on providing expert guidance in security strategy, risk management, and compliance services, particularly within hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will leverage their project management skills to conduct thorough security risk assessments in line with the our IBM Data Security & Privacy (DS&P) Framework

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Business Analyst with Cyber Security Background
• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate cybersecurity requirements across systems and processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on security initiatives.
• Define and assess solution options alongside cybersecurity architects and engineers
• Develop and recommend security strategies to enhance the protection of sensitive information.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables related to security assessments and compliance activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to security and privacy.
  
  

Preferred Education

Associate's Degree/College Diploma

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Significant Security Architecture experience in large enterprise environments
• Previous consulting experience, acting as trusted advisor
• Ability to work across teams/domains to ensure security by design is embedded into client organisation
• Experienced in working with best practice frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Learning mindset, keeping industry certifications up to date
