Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an HR Generalist for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Romania. You will be responsible for day-to-day HR operations, supporting the local team, and ensuring a smooth and professional HR experience for all employees and contractors. It includes onboarding, documentation, coordination with vendors, participation in local talent events, and assisting the global HR team in implementing company-wide programs. You will be a key operational support to help Svitla’s Romanian team grow and thrive.

The position is to be started as fully remote. In the future, Svitla might open an office in Romania, and the person will be required to visit the office 2-3 times per week.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in HR operations, preferably in an international or tech environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Romanian labor laws and administrative procedures.
  • Good written and verbal communication in Romanian and English.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate remotely with international teams.
  • Comfort using HR systems, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.

Nice to have

  • Experience with supporting contractors or freelancers.
  • Familiarity with GDPR as it applies to HR processes.
  • Previous participation in job fairs or talent-related events.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding processes for new contractors (documents, welcome kits, equipment coordination, orientation scheduling).
  • Prepare and organize agreements, offer letters, and HR research and analytics.
  • Act as the first point of contact for personnel’s questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and day-to-day administrative matters.
  • Help organize internal HR documents, ensure proper storage, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the recruiting team during the hiring and preboarding process.
  • Represent Svitla as an HR presence at local job fairs, tech events, and talent exhibitions.
  • Support employer branding activities in collaboration with PR or HR colleagues.
  • Work closely with Svitla’s international HR team to help roll out global initiatives (e.g., surveys, training, educational programs, etc.).
  • Ensure alignment with global procedures while adapting them to the Romanian context when necessary.
