Whether initiating new greenfield applications or modernizing legacy systems, DAS is designed to facilitate scalability, observability, and cost-effective cloud management.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in observability, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure. This role will be central to enhancing our observability practices across AWS and Azure environments, ensuring seamless performance insights and reliability of aviation digital solutions. You will work closely with DevOps, Development, and SRE teams to design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate observability solutions across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Design and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing frameworks using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and the Grafana stack (Loki, Tempo, Grafana UI).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines that embed observability practices, leveraging tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
• Automate the collection, processing, and visualization of telemetry data across distributed systems.
• Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and maintain observability-aligned cloud environments.
• Establish alerting thresholds, anomaly detection, and reporting mechanisms to proactively identify performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain observability playbooks, dashboards, and technical documentation.
• Stay up to date with emerging cloud and observability tools and trends.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, leveraging tools like PagerDuty.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE with a focus on observability.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms: AWS (CloudWatch, X-Ray, IAM, EKS) and Azure (AKS, Monitor, Application Gateway).
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana Stack (Loki, Tempo, UI).
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-native observability architectures and Platform Engineering practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Strong understanding of security principles in cloud-native systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; able to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
