Job Summary:

The Director of Business Intelligence plays a pivotal role in transforming data into strategic insights that drive business growth and efficiency. Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technologies, this position is responsible for leading business intelligence initiatives, optimizing data processes, and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels—from analysts to the C-suite. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server code development, SAP Business Objects, and business analysis, ensuring robust data solutions and impactful reporting.


Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and optimize SQL Server code to support business intelligence efforts.
  • Lead business analysis initiatives, providing actionable insights to all levels of the organization.
  • Manage and maintain SAP Business Objects applications, including:
  • Business Objects Central Management Console (BO CMC)
  • Business Objects Information Design Tool
  • Business Objects Web Intelligence
  • Business Objects BI Launchpad
  • Design and publish reports using Business Objects Web Intelligence, leveraging:
  • Business Views
  • Free-Hand SQL
  • Standalone files
  • Create, maintain, support, and upgrade reports, dashboards, cubes, and data warehouses.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and governance across all business intelligence platforms.
  • Develop and implement BI strategies to support company objectives.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts and BI professionals, fostering a data-driven culture.


Job Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Microsoft SQL Server code development.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a business analyst, collaborating with various organizational levels.
  • At least 7 years of experience with SAP Business Objects applications.
  • Extensive experience designing and publishing reports using Business Objects Web Intelligence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based BI solutions.
  • Advanced degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
