Head of AI

We are looking for a Head of AI for a permanent, full-time position in our Data & AI capabilities unit. The unit supports all Veikkaus' units in the utilization of AI, data governance and business data development, as well as building the capabilities for whole Veikkaus group.

AI and data-driven management are at the heart of Veikkaus' operations both in Finland and in our international business – our goal is to be the world's most data-driven gambling company by the end of 2027, and we are making rapid progress towards it. We have Finland's largest online store and a huge amount of data from one of Finland's largest customer bases.

As a Head of AI, you are leading and developing our efforts in AI as well as heading our AI capabilities team in this unit.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Plan and execute the AI roadmap by identifying areas where AI can be applied, setting goals for AI projects, and ensuring that AI initiatives are aligned with the organization's overall business goals.
• LeadAI capabilities development in Veikkaus Group ensuring the results and efficiency goals are achieved. There are several projects and initiatives running at the same time with different speed and status and you will be responsible for the overall roadmap.
• Lead and inspire the team consisting of AI professionals. Develop and coach the team and its members with your leadership and management skills. There are also external consultants helping us in our AI journey.
• Collaborating with stakeholders from businesses, tech and group to ensure that they are integrating AI into their processes.
  
  

It would be great to hear from you if you have:

• Several years’ experience in leading AI initiatives successfully in both operative and strategic levels
• Experience on leading and coaching AI, data or analytics professionals
• Ability to open and sell the benefits of AI to various stakeholders with business, technical and other backgrounds to also identify potential AI use cases with them
• Systematic, analytical and proactive ways of working with a positive can-do attitude
• Understanding of AI and GenAI technologies and the ways to utilize them effectively in business
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in English

This position is located in Finland. We have modern and agile remote working methods in use and flexible on-site working spaces at the office in Pohjois-Haaga.
