We are looking, for one of our clients, for a RISC-V Embedded Systems Engineer to join an innovative team developing next-generation Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and safety-critical automotive solutions. You’ll work at the intersection of open hardware and real-time embedded development, crafting reliable, high-performance firmware for RISC-V-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize embedded software for RISC-V microcontrollers used in automotive safety systems
• Implement low-level drivers and middleware for real-time control applications (e.g., lane detection, collision avoidance)
• Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of RISC-V SoCs with ADAS sensors and control units
• Conduct performance tuning and compliance validation under automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262)
• Participate in functional testing and debugging across hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments

Required Skills

• Proficiency in C/C++, with hands-on experience in RISC-V architectures
• Strong understanding of real-time systems, preferably using FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or RTEMS
• Background in automotive embedded development, with exposure to sensor fusion or control algorithms
• Familiarity with functional safety concepts and standards (ASIL levels, ISO 26262)
• Experience in integrating firmware with automotive buses (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)

Bonus Points

• Experience with custom RISC-V toolchains or simulators
• Knowledge of model-based design tools like MATLAB/Simulink
• Familiarity with secure boot or embedded cryptography for secure vehicle communication
