Job Summary:

Data warehouse analysts collect, analyze, and mine data from information storage systems to help businesses make better decisions. They research and recommend tech solutions for data storage, reporting, and management, working closely with business intelligence teams to turn requirements into logical data models.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with stakeholders to collect business requirements in a clear and well-documented manner in order to translate them into business terms and functional specifications.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to detect trends, anomalies, and inconsistencies, ensuring reliability and integrity.
• Create technical specifications for Data Warehouse and ETL processes across domains (Client, Product, Transactions), including data mart design, reporting, and analytics requirements.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with business users and technical teams to proactively identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
• Partner with data modelers and engineers to design scalable, high-performance data solutions aligned with business needs.
• The role requires creating detailed gap analysis documentation to identify technical and functional discrepancies in data processes. It involves developing and maintaining comprehensive technical requirements documentation for all data solutions.
• Producing business requirements documents with technical mappings, documenting processes and workflows with system integration points, and authoring use cases with data transformation logic. The position also requires formally documenting ETL implementations and enhancements through structured technical write-ups that cover source-to-target mappings, data validation rules, and change impact analysis.

Technical Skills Required:

• Understanding of a Data Wearhouse architecture;
• Good knowledge regarding implementation steps of BI solutions;
• Experience with Oracle SQL – writing complex queries for extracting and analyzing data;
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline architecture;
• Awareness of data quality frameworks and governance best practices;
• Experience with Data Governance tools: Glossary, Data quality, RDM;
• Advanced knowledge of banking processes and products.

Key Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years experience as DWH analyst in complex projects within the financial services industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in data analysis are a plus.
• Proven experience in a data analysis role in banking.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira is a plus.
