Role overview

As a Software Development Specialist, you will be instrumental in the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of robust software applications. You will take ownership of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), utilizing Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver cutting-edge AI-powered solutions. In addition, you will play a key role in developing, testing, and optimizing mobile applications for smartphones and tablets, ensuring seamless performance and a superior user experience

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire SDLC, from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define project goals, timelines, and resource needs.
• Analyse requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable software solutions.
• Develop, test, and optimize mobile applications, ensuring functionality and user satisfaction across various devices and platforms
• Conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and system testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Deploy applications to Azure cloud environments using automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor application performance and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Utilize Azure cloud services (such as App Service, Functions, SQL Database, and Storage) to develop and deploy cloud-native applications.
• Optimize application performance and cost-effectiveness on the Azure platform, while implementing robust security protocols.
• Manage the software development process using Azure DevOps, including source control, work tracking, and build pipeline configuration.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes through CI/CD.
• Develop AI-powered applications, including training and fine-tuning machine learning models, and integrating these models into software solutions.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and mobile development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on SDLC, Azure cloud, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, AI, and mobile application development
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, Swift, or Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and development tools.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI development tools.
• Demonstrated experience in building, testing, and deploying mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
