Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Purpose: This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure to support the company's operations, ensuring high availability, scalability & security.

Job Summary: The incumbent goal is to lead the planning, design, and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

• Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networks, & databases, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure solutions
• Ensure infrastructure solutions meet business requirements and are scalable, secure & maintainable with adequate documentation and knowledge transfer
• Ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure, troubleshooting issues and performing routine maintenance, upgrades & patches
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure infrastructure alignment with business objectives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
• Develop and implement infrastructure updates, patches & fixes, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operation
• Ensure IT infrastructure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 27001 & PCI-DSS
• Collaborate with security teams to identify and mitigate security risks, implement security patches & updates
• Develop and implement infrastructure security policies & procedures, ensuring adherence to industry best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure solutions
• Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and concise explanations & recommendations
• Participate in IT planning and strategy development, ensuring alignment with business objectives & industry trends
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure, applying this knowledge to improve infrastructure solutions
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, develop proposals for new initiatives & present to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives & industry trends

Minimum Required Qualifications, Certificates & Skills

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 6-7 years in IT infrastructure or a related field preferably in the transportation sector within a highly reputed company
• Any relevant certification or training such as:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

• Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP)

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
