The Recruitment & Immigration Senior Specialist is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and onboarding processes ensuring a seamless and positive experience for candidates and new hires. They supervise visa and work permit processing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, provide support to employees and candidates on immigration-related matters, and maintain accurate employee and transaction records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job-Specific Responsibilities
Recruitment Supervision
- Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of sourcing: review the performance of external sourcing agents (e.g., job portals, recruitment agencies, social media, university career services, industry events, professional networks) and monitor the quality of internal candidates (e.g., employee referrals, internal job postings, talent pool database, succession planning, internal transfers and promotions).
- Oversee the administration of the interviewing process ensuring efficient coordination with interviewers and candidates to schedule the interviews, gather feedback, inform the participants of next steps, etc.
- Review the job offers / contracts and lead compensation negotiations based on the existing salary ranges when required to ensure competitive and fair packages for new hires.
Onboarding Coordination
- Design the onboarding journey to ensure a positive and engaging experience for new hires, incl. developing onboarding packages, supervising the execution on onboarding processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Visa & Work Permit Processing Supervision
- Oversee gathering and processing of all necessary paperwork and documentation related to visa applications, work permits, licenses, and other government requirements.
- Review, endorse and reconcile various transactions (e.g., work permit processing fee payment) with government entities, ensuring smooth and timely immigration processes.
Employee & Candidate Support
- Provide guidance and support to employees and candidates regarding immigration-related matters, including visa applications, renewals, cancellations, and medical appointments to ensure staff compliance with immigration regulations and smooth immigration experience.
Document Administration
- Monitor the quality of administration of records of all government-related transactions and ensure documentation is properly archived and up to date.
- Ensure accurate and organized record-keeping to facilitate easy retrieval of information.
General Responsibilities
Compliance
- Ensure all immigration activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Stay updated on the evolving regulatory requirements in Qatar in immigration services to maintain a compliance.
Reporting
- Participate in the preparation of the HR Services & Recruitment division’s performance reports by gathering relevant data, ensuring its accuracy, and presenting it in a clear and concise manner.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Efficient recruitment and onboarding processes execution, including sourcing, interviewing, etc.
- Accurate and timely visa and work permit processing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Positive onboarding experience for new hires, enhancing engagement and retention.

- Organized and up-to-date documentation of all government-related transactions and staff records.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in human resource management with experience in recruitment, onboarding and immigration handling.
- Bilingual, native Arabic speakers
