Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to protect our organization’s systems and data from internal and external cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network security devices, SIEM solutions, and endpoint protection tools, along with a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data and System Protection: Design, implement, and manage robust security measures to protect organizational data and IT infrastructure.
  • Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor networks and systems for security breaches or vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Response: Identify, respond to, and investigate security incidents, and implement remediation plans to mitigate risks.
  • Security Assessments: Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing to uncover potential vulnerabilities.
  • Implementation of Security Tools: Configure and maintain firewalls, antivirus systems, and other cybersecurity solutions.
  • Awareness & Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training to staff, promoting cybersecurity best practices.
  • Threat Intelligence: Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to ensure proactive defense strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of security policies, incident response plans, and configurations.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role.

Technical Skills & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, firewalls, and antivirus technologies.
  • Hands-on experience managing network security devices, Like Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Proficient in monitoring and investigating security events and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) using multi-vendor SIEM platforms, such as Microsoft Sentinel and IBM QRadar.
  • Experience in managing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint for advanced threat detection and response.
  • Proficient with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance standards.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar industry certifications

Soft Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
