Network & Security Architect

My client is looking to bring on a hands-on Network & Security Architect for a 6-month contract with potential for extension to help design and deliver a network refresh project. This role is not just about execution - it's about collaboration, mentorship, and strategic input.

Description

• Contribute to hands-on architecture and detailed high-level design for the company's network refresh project.
• Participate in requirement gathering, handover processes, and implementation support.
• Act as a mentor to the Senior Network Engineer
• Work closely with the security team, and report directly to Infrastructure Lead
• Collaborate with a the national infrastructure team to to integrate security practices into network design and deliver business objectives
• Regularly review and update security protocols, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Conduct regular audits of the network and security systems to identify potential issues.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical guidance and advice to team members and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of advancements in network security technologies.
• Respond to network and security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  
  

Profile

• Currently located in Perth, WA
• Demonstrated minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar Network Architect role.
• Strong experience in network refresh projects, including technology and carrier transitions.
• Deep understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, and SSE (Security Service Edge) - essential.
• Exposure to SASE security and SSC components of SD-WAN - essential.
• Client is looking for someone who will collaborate, guide, and integrate with the team.
