Risk Management Department

As an independent control function, the Risk Management Department, being actively involved in all material decisions and aligned with parent guidelines and practices, aims to enable the Bank to make informed decisions and ensure that the risk policies approved by the Board of Directors are duly implemented and followed.

Haitong Bank is looking for candidates to integrate the Credit Risk Team.

Our Programme

Choosing the 6-month Risk program within Haitong Bank is the best way to prepare for a future role in investment banking having the opportunity to look deep inside in Risk Management.

On this track within the Haitong Bank Risk Program, you will develop a wide range of knowledge and skills relevant in all Financial Industry, namely:

• An understanding of the types of risk to which the organization is exposed, such as Credit, Liquidity, Market, Operational and Capital;
• A view of the products commercialized in the Investment Banking sector;
• The regulatory requirements that an organization should comply with;
• A first introduction to relevant data analysis tools such as SQL and Bloomberg

Beside the strong on the job exposure that Haitong Bank internship will give you, this program will provide practical and theoretical tools, especially in risk management, that certainly will add value to your Masters degree thesis or a internship report if you chose so.

What we expect

A degree is a key requirement for the Risk track, preferably in Finance, Economics, Management, Econometric, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, as long as you show affinity with Risk and financial services.

Experience in SQL, VBA or similar is a valuable skill. In addition, we expect you to take the initiative, to be eager to learn and to take a proactive, entrepreneurial approach, not only at the start but for the entire duration of your internship.

We expect you to develop, and share, your own vision. Above all we expect you to deliver tangible results.
