Industry Sector Heads (Corporate Banking)

Job Purpose:

As an Industry Head, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a sector-specific portfolio, leading client coverage, and delivering sustainable growth while maintaining strong asset quality.

Main Tasks & Accountabilities:

• Lead and manage sector-specific corporate banking portfolios
• Develop and execute industry-driven client strategies
• Originate high-quality lending and fee-based opportunities
• Ensure robust credit quality and portfolio monitoring
• Build deep relationships with key corporates and stakeholders
• Drive alignment with sectoral lending priorities and regulatory frameworks
• Lead and mentor a team of Relationship Managers and Analysts
• Participate and assist in developing business plans and Strategy for Corporate Banking
• Responsible for effective coordination with support functions with a view to book business to meet timelines
• Delivering of annual budget, including setting up Performance Targets for RM’s and other staff members of the department.
• Participate and develop new products, monitoring and managing daily performance activities of the Department
• Explore new business potential from existing clients, regular visit to new & existing clients to understand their needs and deepen relationship
• Strict monitoring of portfolio for zero tolerance on asset quality slippages
• Responsible for monitoring compliance with internal policies and CBO regulations

Background Knowledge & Experience:

• Minimum: Undergraduate degree
• Preferred: MBA / CFA / CA or equivalent finance qualification
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in corporate banking
• Proven track record in client coverage, credit, and business development
• Strong understanding of industry dynamics and risk frameworks
