Site Reliability Engineer

Urban Games is an independent and highly-successful video game development company focused on simulation and management games. Urban Games’ third video game title, Transport Fever 2, was released with great success in late 2019 and enables the company to continue growing. The Site Reliability Engineer has overall responsibility for the company’s IT infrastructure and implements systems for building, deployment, crash reporting and automated game testing.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the company’s IT infrastructure
• Design, implement and maintain various in-house systems and tools
• Realize fast and reliable build and deployment pipelines
• Extend the game crash report and analysis systems
• Be responsible for security both digital and physical
• Manage office hardware and employee’s software licenses

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of system administration (Windows, Linux, Mac)
• Excellent scripting skills (Python, Shell, Bat etc.)
• Experience with build systems and automated testing
• Great analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple tasks
• German and English communication and writing skills (B2 level or higher)

Preferences:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Experience in operating CI/CD pipelines on platforms such as GitLab
• Advanced experience with build systems such as CMake
• Advanced experience with repository administration (Git/SVN)
• Experience with databases such as CouchDB
• Experience with web development
