Digital Accessibility Specialist – Digital Products (Mobile & Web)

Contract | Hybrid + Office (1 day/week) | Australian Citizens Only - Baseline

🔍 About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Accessibility Specialist to:

• Embed accessibility throughout the design and development lifecycle
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and researchers across multiple projects
• Identify and resolve accessibility issues in wireframes, prototypes, and front-end code
• Conduct manual accessibility testing using assistive tech (screen readers, speech-to-text, magnifiers)
• Influence and support automated accessibility testing

💡 What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in accessibility across mobile apps (Android/iOS) and responsive web
• Deep understanding of WCAG, ARIA/WAI-ARIA, and platform-specific guidelines
• Hands-on knowledge of assistive technologies and how people with disabilities use them
• Experience reviewing Figma/Axure designs and collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills and a passion for inclusive design

⭐ Nice to Have

• Experience conducting usability testing with people with disability
• Familiarity with inclusive design methodologies and accessibility on emerging platforms
