We are currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Product Manager to join our Open Platform Business Group in New South Wales, reporting to the Head of Product - OP BG.


The Product Manager will be managing assigned product portfolio, involving Go-To-Market (GTM), Product launch plan/promotion and product marketing strategy align with ASUS HQ’s direction.



Key aspects of the role are including but not limited to:

  • Developing marketing and communications plans and activities for specific product category;
  • Overseeing market research, monitoring competitive activity and identifying customer needs;
  • Overseeing the analysis and evaluation of key market statistics and customer requirements to define product strategies and identify opportunities to expand market share;
  • Maintaining the current status of customer requirements for existing and future products, feedback to HQ's R&D Team;
  • Building up strong relationships with local distributor partners and assisting them in dealing with HQ for ordering, logistics and promotion;
  • Building up strong relationships with existing ANZ key resellers partners, SI/VAR partners and also developing new potential customers with ASUS;
  • Developing content for internal and external audiences relaying product strategies and value propositions, including customer presentations and products training materials;
  • Working with Product Administration and TPM teams to ensure accurate forecasting, lead-time estimating, and providing local market & pricing information to ASUS HQ;
  • Managing product launches to ensure readiness for internal/ external stakeholders and optimise product transitions;
  • Providing input into item forecast & mix planning, category and BU offer strategy;
  • Collaborating with the Account Management Team to understand customer requirements and collect market information;
  • Collaborating with local and HQ Marketing Team to deliver the messages to target audiences and business partners;
  • Driving marketing/ promotion activities and events to increase mind shares for specific product category;
  • Reviewing service model from time to time and improving customer satisfaction at a high level;
  • Visiting key partners at inter-state and attending roadshow/ tradeshow when required.


Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications;
  • 5+ years of product management experience (preferably in computer hardware components) and account management experience;
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with daily decision-making;
  • Demonstrated leadership and a strong drive for results;
  • Team player and effective in dealing with ambiguity;
  • Strong business acumen and customer focus;
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident with unlimited working rights within Australia, no overseas applicants.
