IT Security & Compliance Engineer - Dublin (Hybrid)

Our exclusive client, a leader in health technology are looking for an IT Security & Compliance Engineer to strengthen their security and compliance across the organisation and platform infrastructure. You'll play a key role in implementing and maintaining the security programs, focusing on ISO 27001:2013/2022, ISMS, and Secure SDLC practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain a robust security and compliance program
• Assist with ISO 27001 ISMS management, including policy updates, risk assessments, audits, and corrective actions
• Implement security measures in AWS infrastructure aligned with ISO 27001 controls
• Contribute to Secure SDLC practices, threat modeling, code reviews, and security testing
• Help manage incident response and deliver security awareness training
• Conduct vulnerability scans, assist with penetration tests, and track remediation
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
• Prepare for audits and customer security reviews

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 2-4 years of IT security experience, with exposure to AWS and compliance
• Familiarity with ISO 27001:2013, Secure SDLC, and security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
• AWS Certified Security - Specialty (or commitment to obtain within 6 months)
• Basic knowledge of AWS services and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Security certifications (Security+, CISSP Associate)
• Experience with cloud compliance automation and containerization security
• Familiarity with application security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA)
