We are looking for a software developer to join our diverse and multidisciplinary team with background in top universities around the world. ABOUT THIS ROLE
Your main responsibility is to develop desktop applications for R&D processes, e.g., laboratory experiments, clinical trials, and prototype testing. You constantly look for improvements and use your good communication skills to identify relevant problems and user requirements. You apply your experience and skills to design and build intuitive apps independently.
You understand communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth) and data acquisition. You are knowledgeable of data cleansing and data management, and comfortable working with data masses.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Develop software tools for R&D activities (e.g., laboratory applications, data adapters for systems integration, data visualization)
- Develop and maintain existing internal software tools
- Proactively identify operations and processes that can be automated or improved by software
- Contribute to the GlucoModicum non-invasive glucose meter software (MD SW)
Relevant Skills & Knowledge
- Frontend and backend (full stack) development for desktop applications (e.g., WPF, Java, Swing, Python, Tkinter, QT or equivalents)
- Data acquisition & communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, UART, SCPI)
- Command of a scripting language (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or equivalent)
- Git and collaborative version control systems
- Good communication skills to identify user requirements
- Proactive and self-directed: capable of prioritizing, developing, and executing rapidly
- Relevant educational background (e.g., computer science, physics, electronics, information technology, robotics, equivalent or proven knowledge)
