Job Description:

One of Ireland’s leading trading firms is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong database expertise. This is a permanent position offering one of the top salary packages in Ireland. They will also pay relocation packages for Senior candidates looking to relocate from overseas in the EU.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimise, and maintain high-performance Python applications.
• Design and implement robust database solutions to support trading operations.
• Work closely with quantitative analysts and traders to develop trading strategies.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system efficiency.
• Implement best practices for software development, including testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong database experience (SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
• Experience working in a high-performance or data-intensive environment.
• Knowledge of financial markets or trading systems is an advantage.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with real-time data processing.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
