Assignment Type: Initial 6 Month Contract – With Expected Extension

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday Remote: 50% remote working

Kintec are currently partnered with a pioneering Green Steel Production Company who are constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce Green Steel – Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO₂ compared conventional steel production.

Electrical & Controls Package Manager/Project Manager

• Our first Hydrogen based steel project in Boden is broken down into 4 areas: Hydrogen manufacturing, Iron making (DRI), Steel making, as well as Site Infrastructure and utilities.
• As Electrical & Controls Package Manager you will work in the Construction Supply Chain Team and report directly to the Supply Chain Management Lead. In that role you will assume responsibility to deliver electrical & controls related materials and equipment’s from procurement done (contract awarded) to hand-over to construction at workfront.
• In that role you will manage electrical and controls scopes in all four areas across the project and will work cross-functionally with our Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Construction and Operations departments.
• Your main responsibility is to ensure that our EPCM and supply partners deliver the packages in the right time, cost, sequence and quality.
• The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden, with occasional travels to our construction site in Boden or to suppliers in Europe or Asia possibly required from time to time. Minimum availability in Stockholm/remote is 50/50.

Key Responsibilities:

Package Management: Managing cross-functional direct purchase packages in electrical and controls scope (i.e. cables, electrical equipment, cranes, AHUs, etc.). Coordinate and ensure the delivery from procurement to handover at workfront for packages, including: Cables, Lights, TSI and Control Systems, Electrical Equipment, Electrical in Cranes and AHUs, E-Houses.

Project management: Coordinate, deblock and expedite related processes throughout Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Operations with the final goal to handover to construction at the workfront.

Co-Managing such processes with respective stakeholders internally and externally with EPCMs and Direct Suppliers. As well as managing relationships with suppliers to ensure the consistent quality and availability of equipment and materials through progress reporting.

Reporting: Throughout the process reporting to Management, Planning, Cost Control, Logistics and Construction Teams

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years experience in delivery of industrial construction, retrofitting or CAPEX projects, of which mandatory 2-5 years with hands-on construction or expediting management experience focused on electrical systems is required
• Track record as construction or expediting manager driving complex projects, covering planning, engineering, supply chain as well as execution phase is a strong plus
• Engineering or other relevant technical degree is a plus
• Fluency in English is required
• Experience working on an owner’s or EPCM team is a plus
• Experience working in multi-cultural environment is a plus
