Frontend Developer – AI-Powered Healthtech

We’re an ambitious startup building a powerful, AI-driven support platform. The product combines coaching, therapy, and an intelligent assistant to help parents access timely strategies, understand behaviours, and feel supported at any time of day.

You’ll be joining a small, fast-moving team working closely with our CTO to develop thoughtful, user-facing features while integrating real-time AI responses into a clean, responsive mobile app. This is a great opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level developer who wants to grow fast, build meaningful tools, and work hands-on with the latest in AI and app development.

🚀 What You’ll Do:

• Build and refine app features using React / React Native
• Turn design specs into clean, accessible UI components (HTML/CSS/TypeScript)
• Connect the frontend to AI systems (e.g., OpenAI APIs, RAG, embeddings)
• Support backend workflows using Firebase and Node.js
• Collaborate with design and product to shape great user experiences
• Write maintainable code, squash bugs, and contribute to basic documentation
• Help design UI to handle AI quirks like latency, uncertainty, or null responses

🧩 You’ll Fit Right In If You Have:

• 1–3+ years of frontend or full-stack experience
• Strong skills in React Native and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Working knowledge of Firebase or similar backend-as-a-service tools
• Familiarity with LLMs, embeddings, and calling AI APIs
• Experience building mobile UIs for both Android and iOS
• A curious mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude
• Good communication and the ability to work independently in a small team

🌟 Bonus Skills We’d Love to See:

• Built or integrated AI assistants (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Pinecone)
• Experience with chatbots, semantic search, or AI evaluation tools
• Understanding of vector search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or token limits
• Thoughtful approaches to fallback UI, retries, or dynamic rendering
• Prior work on healthtech, edtech, or parenting platforms
• Familiarity with usability, accessibility, or analytics tagging (e.g., Heap)
