Python Developer

About the Role

We're looking for a Python developer to join our backend engineering team. In this position, you'll help shape the technical infrastructure behind an AI-driven forecasting solution. The focus will be on designing and maintaining efficient, scalable systems that manage complex data and empower users with actionable insights.

You'll work alongside engineers (both backend and frontend), product stakeholders, and data professionals to create and refine backend services, connect to large language models (LLMs), and roll out advanced analytics capabilities. Your work will be key in improving the platform’s performance, stability, and overall user experience.

What You'll Do

• Take part in building and refining backend components that support our forecasting platform.
• Develop and maintain LLM-related features, data visualization tools, and reporting mechanisms.
• Translate high-level product needs into functional, maintainable backend code through team collaboration.
• Write clean, reliable, and testable Python code while actively contributing to code quality practices such as reviews.
• Handle sizable data volumes and use modern database systems to power analytics workflows.
• Ensure the system remains secure, responsive, and dependable at scale.

Ideal Background

• Typically, you have 5+ years of backend experience, but what matters most is the depth of your skills and accomplishments.
• Comfortable working with big data, especially in the context of building tools for fast search and analytics.
• Hands-on knowledge of Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Celery, LangChain, LangGraph.
• Familiar with test automation and test-first practices (e.g., using Pytest, Unittest, Playwright, or Cypress).
• Experience working with a mix of relational and non-relational databases; exposure to Elasticsearch is a plus.
• Worked previously with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken formats.
