Engineering Project Manager (relocation to Munich)

Location: Taufkirchen, Germany

Remote Work Policy: Hybrid (1–2 days home office per week)

Travel Requirement: ~30% (within Europe and the USA)

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary Range: Up to €80,000 gross/year (no bonus) – Maximum salary is fixed and non-negotiable

Role Overview

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead complex composite projects from concept to delivery. This is a high-impact position involving international client coordination, hands-on project leadership, and technical involvement in one of the most innovative sectors in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: End-to-end responsibility for project delivery (planning, execution, delivery).
• Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a central communication hub between internal teams and international clients.
• Budget & Risk Management: Prepare and oversee project budgets, perform risk assessments, ensure KPIs are met.
• Technical Oversight: Provide engineering insight and support optimization of technical processes.

Must-Have Skills

Technical & Project Management

• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical project management
• Background in mechanical or industrial engineering
• Proven experience with budgeting and risk management

Tools & Systems

• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. We Clapp or equivalent)

Languages

• German: C2
• English: C1–C2

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proactive, hands-on mentality
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of aerospace industry
• Fluency in French is a plus, not required

• Team: 1 colleague, 1 team lead, 1 working student
• Reports To: Head of Project Management
• Interfaces: HR, Marketing, Technical departments

Employment Details

• Contract: Permanent (open-ended)
• Working Hours: 40h/week (option to reduce to 32h)
• Vacation: 30 days/year
• Probation: 6 months
