Senior Mainframe Developer (6-month contract)

Salary: 6700 - 7500 EUR/month gross (before tax) based on your skills and experience, but we are flexible to negotiate.

Location: Lithuania (remote)

Schedule: 1 FTE (40 hours/week)

6-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

What You'll Be Doing

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic team with one of the biggest players in finance in the country.

How You'll Spend Your Day

• Analyse and develop Mainframe z/OS applications using PL1/DB2/JCL/COBOL/CICS.
• Design, develop, document, and implement new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.
• Develop testing and debugging routines and oversee execution.
• Create documentation and procedures for maintenance.
• Build and maintain relationships with various squads and third parties on software development or support issues.
• Understand the positioning of a solution within the company and build a plan to effectively gain buy-in from all participants.
• Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards and processes.
  
  

You'll be successful if you have

• 6+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Working experience and knowledge of PL1, DB2, JCL, COBOL, CICS, MQ, and IBM utilities.
• Cross platform knowledge on API, Rest protocols, Api Connect.
• Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills.
• Positive attitude towards work and deliverables.
• Open mindset to work with the team in an agile setup - tribe/squad.
