Technology Strategy Consultant

Join us!

If you’re ready to start the next chapter in your career journey, you’ve come to the right place. We’re always happy to hear from people who are eager to learn and grow, and share our values.

We are looking for a Technology Strategy Consultant to join our Strategy & Renewal consulting team, working at the intersection of business and technology. Do you think this could be the next step in your career? If so, don’t wait too long to apply – we’ll move forward as soon as we find the right person!

About the role

As a Technology Strategy Consultant, you’ll play a key role in helping organisations explore new growth paths, improve operational performance, and become more innovative, efficient, customer-centric and data-enabled.

You will be leading and contributing to multidisciplinary consulting projects that often begin with developing a shared understanding of the client’s current state. From there, we define a target state vision and develop a feasible transformation roadmap, including business case modelling. Our clients are typically C-level leaders such as CIOs, CTOs or CDOs, and you will be a trusted advisor in steering their strategic agenda forward. Although we work in the Strategy & Renewal unit across all industries, we are currently seeing a lot of customer demand particularly in the Energy & Industry domain, so it's great if you have exposure to these industries.

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable navigating both business and technology topics. While you don’t need to be a deep technical expert, having a grasp of enterprise architecture, enterprise technology stack, emerging technologies and digital transformations will support you in engaging confidently with business and IT stakeholders. And of course, you’ll always have access to our network of senior technical specialists.

In addition, we hope that you have a commercial mindset since you can also find yourself in building and developing our offering to the market, identifying new sales opportunities and participating in sales as an expert.

We offer a hybrid working mode that allows for flexibility, but it is important that the candidate is located close to one of our Finland offices (Helsinki or Tampere) to ensure seamless collaboration. Please kindly note that at this time, we are unable to offer relocation opportunities, or we will need to be highly selective in considering such requests.

Our team & projects

We are a data and tech-native, people-centric and outcome focused strategic advisory team. Our projects range from pure technology advisory engagements to more business focused projects and typically cover topics like:

  • Digital, data, technology & AI strategies
  • Digital business model definitions
  • Generative AI business value explorations and prototyping
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Capability assessments
  • Operating model renewals
  • C-level advisory on varying strategic topics

Our clients include many of the largest listed companies in Finland, as well as other prominent Nordic organisations.

Recipe for success

We believe there are many paths to success, but the following experience will help you thrive in this role:

  • A higher education degree (e.g., business, tech, industrial)
  • 3-5+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on either business or technology strategies, OR experience from leading AI/digital strategy in an in-house position. Career level can be adjusted based on your experience.
  • You have experience on strategic advisory projects and you are able to communicate and document your thoughts into crisp and clear presentations
  • Experience leading projects and teams, with strong facilitation and client engagement skills
  • Solid management consulting toolbox to help you analyze, structure and present complex client problems
  • Familiarity with business design methods (e.g. customer journeys, service blueprints)
  • Previous experience in sales or proposal creation is considered an advantage
  • Experience from energy and industrial sectors is considered as an advantage

Understanding both business and technology is essential, as many of our projects are technology-driven but must align closely with business objectives so we also hope that you have:

  • Ability to hold fluent discussions with CIOs, CTOs, or CDOs about their key priorities, which may include topics such as business alignment, enterprise architecture, system rationalization, data and AI, technology roadmaps, vendor management, core system renewals, and tendering processes.
  • A strong management consulting toolbox to help you analyze, structure, and present complex client problems—typically through clear PowerPoint presentations supported by quantitative analysis in Excel.

Frameworks aside, we look for people who are curious, creative problem-solvers with great communication and collaboration skills. An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for making change happen will help you go far!

Compensation

Your complete compensation package will be discussed in detail during the recruitment process. Our salary model is designed to offer a range of levels based on three factors: skills, responsibilities and impact. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment where every employee has the opportunity to thrive and advance in their career and become better versions of themselves.

During the initial interview round, we will discuss the salary range for this position. We offer a fixed salary with the possibility of performance-based bonuses and additional benefits.
