We’re looking for a hands-on and entrepreneurial-minded expert to drive renewable energy projects from land acquisition to ready-to-build status. If you have experience in wind, solar, or battery storage development in Lithuania and can navigate both local permitting and grid connection processes, this role offers the opportunity to lead multiple projects and represent company in Lithuania, shape the future of clean energy, and work closely with an agile, international team.
Job Description
- Land search for such projects, and land securitization: site screening, land lease preparation with us, talking with landowners and negotiating, land contract signing and registering, doing the application at the municipality, getting the preliminary grid conditions from the Transmission System Operator ‘’TSO’’
- Grid connection: looking for the available grid connection points and optimizing the project location according to the details shared by the TSO on each connection point
- Applying for the LOI from the TSO: preparing the application, filling the application and following up, signing the LOI with the TSO
- Applying for the Development permit: finding experts to do the bird/bat monitoring study for Wind projects, also finding experts to do the environmental study and the public health and topographical study
- Applying for the final grid connection conditions: filling the application, negotiating with the TSO’s on the grid conditions
- Support with the rest of the technical studies to be done on the ground: geology, melioration, cabling, hydrology, etc.
- Do all the permitting required to reach Ready to Build ‘’RTB’’, in correspondence with us and our legal advisor, including the construction and the generation permit thereafter
- Support with all the local documentation required to reach Financial Close with international and/or local banks
Key Requirements
- Solid understanding of Renewable Energy project lifecycle (development to operation).
- Proven track record with RE projects in Lithuania, ideally reaching RTB stage.
- Experience in at least two technologies – wind (mandatory), plus solar or battery storage.
- Familiar with bank requirements for financing (environmental, legal, technical due diligence).
- Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate project opportunities.
- Hands-on, proactive, persistent – gets things done.
- Excellent communicator; adapts well to farmers, politicians, and public settings.
- Fluent in English.
- Good network with TSO, DSO, and permitting authorities in Lithuania.
- Deep understanding of local conditions affecting project success.
Salary: €4800–€5200 gross, with performance-based bonuses to be discussed during the interview.
